Plays under consideration for the fall are:

"AND THEN I WROTE" by Jack Sharkey.

The cast calls for 4 women and 4 men of various ages (21 years and over). Story of the Play: In this riotous showbiz comedy a producer, his secretary and associates try to re write an epic drama by a young playwright into a broad farce. A vicious gossip columnist tries to blackmail the producer into marriage while a scatterbrained old character actor erroneously creates the impression that the leading lady has died. The author, also an apprentice mortician, is appalled by the histrionics that accompany the opening of a Broadway show. As the columnist draws mistaken conclusions that this show is really a cover for a bizarre murder cult, the rest of the group foster this impression and substitute a lady undertaker in the role of the much alive leading lady. Mistaken identities, romance, and silly situations combine to keep the audience laughing through three acts of hilarity.

"GETTING SARA MARRIED" by Sam Bobrick.

The cast calls for 3 women and 3 men of various ages (21 years and over). Story of the Play: Sara Hastings is an unmarried lawyer in her mid-thirties, much too busy to get involved in romance. Her Aunt Martha has decided to take matters into her own hands and find her a husband. Unfortunately, Aunt Martha's method of doing it amounts to having the prospective groom bopped over the head and brought to Sara's apartment. Aunt Martha's choice is Brandon Cates, a young man who handles Aunt Martha's finances. Although Brandon is engaged to be married, this does not deter Aunt Martha. After being bopped on the head a few times, having a temporary loss of memory and experiencing several instances of mouth-to-mouth resuscitation and a confrontation with the very angry fiancé, Brandon slowly comes to realize that Sara is really the girl for him. "A bright and breezy evening of delightful theatre... It is fun and a great change of pace from the daily news and the rest of the world. Don't miss it!" Jacksonville Review. "A night of fun, laughs and lighthearted entertainment, make a date out of it - you'll be glad you did." by the Pegasus News.

The audition process is informal. It will consist of cold readings from the script. Actors auditioning may read for one or more parts. RCP welcomes all to audition with or without previous theater experience. A "read only" cutting of the script may be viewed on the Samuel French, Inc. website for those would like more information and character details about the shows.
